The Story Behind the Course

This course was originally developed as one of the key components of the Newcomers Language and Canadian Skilled Trades Training project. That larger initiative, funded by the Government of Canada (ESDC), was designed to help people new to the country gain the language and safety skills needed for the skilled trades. While it was first taught as part of a full-time program, this course has now been adapted into a stand-alone online resource. This allows you to access the same high-quality, professional preparation independently and at your own pace, ensuring you have the foundation needed to succeed in official industry safety training.
