Partnerships for Workplace Inclusion Project

Project description

This workbook is part of a workplace readiness series designed to support newcomers and job seekers as they prepare for work. The lessons use real documents and tasks from the workplace to help learners build confidence and develop transferable skills. The topics come from the hospitality industry, but the skills can be used in many other industries. Learners will improve how they communicate, learn about safety, practice being on time, and feel more comfortable asking questions and following instructions. The workbooks in this series were created in collaboration with NorQuest College’s Colbourne Institute for Inclusive Leadership (CIIL) as part of the Partnerships for Workplace Inclusion project. Funding for the videos in this series was provided by the Government of Alberta’s Settlement, Integration, and Language Projects grant as part of the Working Faster, Working Safer project. The workbooks in this series can be used for classroom instruction or self-paced practice at home.
