Testimonials

“The Workforce Participation Workbooks #1 and #2 are an excellent resource for new Canadians planning to begin their first jobs - and a good review for those already working. The course addresses cultural differences, stressing that Canadian employers both want and expect their employees to ask questions and ask for clarification - until the worker perfectly understands what is required. The books teach many practical skills including: filling in forms such as log sheets; words and phrases to use when asking for clarification; methods of searching for specific information in a larger document. Having worked through the two books page by page with my ESL student, I wholeheartedly recommend the Workforce Participation Workbooks.”

“It is helpful to take this course because it gives awareness of the rights and responsibilities of a worker. At the same time, it tells you the limitations of your role as an employee.”
